SkyWatch is a U.S citizen scientist organization dedicated to the capture and sharing of UAP/UFO data using a passive ground based optical platform producing high quality, calibrated synchronized video.
The term UAP stands for Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon. It is a clever modern governmental whitewashing of the stigmatized term "UFO" which implies an Extraterrestrial or NHI (Non-Human Intelligence) origin. While all UFO are UAP not all UAP are UFO. For our purposes, UFO is a craft built and operated by a non-human intelligence that defies any known laws of physics.
About 95% of all UAP are prosaic in origin and can be explained with adequate data. We are only interested in the 5% that could potentially be UFO. It is your responsibility to analyze your own data and determine if it satisfies the requirements of a UFO based on exhibiting one of the 5 observables. Once you have ruled out all prosaic explanations with a high degree of confidence then submit your data through the app for further analysis.
The acknowledgement that another intelligence exists in the universe and is interacting with humanity answers the profound existential question of "are we alone". The implications of this reality will have broad impact on global societies with the potential to bring people together.
In addition, there is strong evidence that governments already know the truth, have been keeping it secret and have acquired this technology that could potentially change the world. While this avenue of disclosure is not our primary goal, our research could facilitate these effort to provide transparency and bring these technologies to light.
Capturing optical data at these times provide the optimal lighting conditions for UAP observations. The human eye and all cameras need light (photons) to operate. When the sun is mostly parallel to the Earth's surface it reflects light back to the observer with maximum detail and contrast. The analogy is similar to that of all professional photography.
Another reason is by placing a constraint on the time across all time zones ensures that all active platforms are capturing synchronized data at the same time to the millisecond rather then just randomly capturing data throughout the day.
While hunting for UAP at night while stargazing seems like a good idea it simply does not provide enough optical data and can never be identified. It also rules out meteorites, stars, planets and satellites from your observations which are commonly mistaken for UAP..
Posting online immediately destroys any credibility and the chain of custody. No matter how compelling, no one will believe or trust a single video from a single person. The mission is to provide 100's if not 1000's of analytical reports to the the world scientific communities to then force disclosure by world governments. The mission is more critical then the vanity of making a social media post quite frankly.
We understand you may reside in an area of colder climate however the possible artifacts introduced from taking optical data through a glass pane is not possible.
We are currently working hard to launch SkyWatch as soon as possible. There are many individuals, scientific organizations and partnerships we are working with before we can launch.
We are also working hard on a dedicated smartphone application and sourcing the platform hardware that is both uniform in quality and provide the best data collection at the most reasonable cost for our citizen scientists.
The most important thing you can do is share our message online. This will increase the geospatial awareness across the country to produce more corroborated data and analysis of an event with stronger scientific reports. Also, have discussions on the topic with friends and family, as people need to become aware of the impending disclosure and the reality of the phenomenon, and that takes some time for people to incorporate into their belief structure.
